FXX content is also included on the FXNOW Canada video player and app. Featuring marquee programming from both FXX and FX, this authenticated video product allows customers to catch up on their favourite shows on demand on any device – online, tablets, or smartphones – at no additional cost. FXNOW Canada is also compatible with Android and iOS (tablets and mobile). Additionally, FXX programming is available via your TV Provider’s Video on Demand services.
Q: I’M UNABLE TO WATCH VIDEOS ON THE WEBSITE USING MY PHONE OR TABLET. WHY?
A: To watch videos on your phone or tablet, download the free FXNOW Canada App from the Apple iTunes store or from the Google Play store. The videos on the fxcanadanow.ca website are DRM protected and require laptop or desktop computer to play. Studio rights agreements will not allow us to play video via a mobile browser.
Q: WHAT IS THE FXNOW CANADA APP?
A: FXNOW Canada is a video app available for iOS devices (iPad & iPhone); Apple TV; FireTV; Android devices (phone & tablet), and Chromecast (iOS, and Android). It enables you to watch your favourite FX and FXX shows anywhere and anytime you want.
Q: WHAT DEVICES ARE SUPPORTED BY APP?
A: Apple devices using iOS 7.0 and up. Android devices using Android 4.2 and up.
Q: DOES IT COST ANYTHING TO WATCH VIDEOS?
A: The app & website are free, but you must subscribe to FX and FXX to watch full episodes.
To watch these videos, ensure that:
• You subscribe to FX and FXX from your local TV provider..
• Your TV provider has authorized access to FXNowcanada.ca & the app (you can see a list of participating providers when you sign in).
• You have a username & password from your TV provider. This is typically the same account that you would use to access your TV provider’s other online services like video on demand.
Short clip videos do not require a login and can be watched by anyone.
Q: HOW DO I FIND OUT MY USERNAME OR PASSWORD?
A: Your username and password come from your TV service provider. This account is typically the same account that you use to access your TV provider’s other online services and video portals. When you attempt to login to FX, you will be taken to your TV provider’s login page. Use the links on this page to reset your password or create a new account.
Keep in mind that you must subscribe to FX or FXX via your TV service provider in order to access their content on the app. Also, your TV service provider must have chosen to give their customers access to full episodes on the app and website.
Q: AM TRYING TO LOGIN BUT I DON’T SEE MY TV SERVICE PROVIDER LISTED. WHAT DO I DO?
A: The list is updated with all TV service providers who have chosen to provide their users with access to the FXNOW Canada app. If you do not see your provider listed, please contact them and ask them to distribute FX and FXX, and to enable access to full episode videos on the FXNOW Canada app and website.
Q: WILL THE FXNOW CANADA APP USE MY CELLULAR DATA PLAN?
A: If you are not connected to the internet through Wi-Fi, streaming video will use your data plan (unless you have expressly disabled data usage over cellular connections).
Q: CAN I GET ACCESS TO EPISODES ON AIRPLAY?
A: No. We do not hold the necessary licenses at this time for Apple AirPlay.
Q: WHAT KIND OF CONTENT IS AVAILABLE?
A: Full episodes and exclusive video clips from many of your favourite FX and FXX shows.
Q: CAN I ACCESS THE EPISODES ONLINE FROM OUTSIDE OF CANADA?
A: The content is only licensed for audiences in Canada.
Q: I CAN’T FIND MY FAVOURITE SHOW. WHY IS IT NOT HERE?
A: We do not have the digital rights for all shows that are seen on air. Although we do try to extend access to more shows online, please note that not all producers are able to or are unwilling to agree to share their material online with us.
Q: DO I HAVE TO LOGIN EVERY TIME I VISIT THE SITE?
